Poultry Insurance

This policy covers all domesticated birds against mortality as a result of fire, flood, diseases, lightning, windstorm and accident. The Sum Insured is the value of the birds at maturity. The cover period ranging from six (6) weeks (for broiler) to one year or 72 weeks (for layers). Compensation is made to the insured farmers that suffer loss based on the value/age of the birds at the time of loss work out on the estimated input costs of the bird.
