Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to the MD/CEO. This role requires a strong sense of urgency, sound judgment, discretion and the ability to work independently.

The ideal candidate should possess strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced executive environment.

Key Responsibilities

•  Manage the MD/CEO’s schedule, including internal and external meetings, appointments and events.

•  Handle and coordinate critical communications on behalf of the MD/CEO.

•  Coordinate executive outreach and support the development and maintenance of key external relationships.

•  Draft correspondence, prepare meeting agendas, reports, presentations and other executive materials.

•  Support the preparation and coordination of materials required for Board and executive management meetings.

•  Conduct research on industry trends, market developments, competitors and other relevant business matters.

•  Analyse information and prepare concise reports and insights to support executive decision-making.

•  Screen and prioritise incoming communications to ensure urgent and important matters receive the MD/CEO’s attention.

•  Maintain records of important contacts, corporate documents, reports and executive correspondence.

•  Handle confidential and sensitive information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism.

•  Organise travel arrangements, itineraries and related logistics for the MD/CEO.

•  Support office operations and executive administrative activities.

•  Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the MD/CEO.

Requirements

•  First Degree in any discipline.

•  3–5 years of progressive work experience as an Executive Assistant to a C-suite executive.

•  Prior work experience in the insurance industry is preferred.

•  Professional certification from the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) will be an added advantage.

•  Understanding of the Nigerian insurance market and industry terminology.

•  Awareness of competitors and relevant market developments.

•  Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.

•  Open-minded, adaptable and able to respond effectively to changing priorities.
